Frank’s Winning Video

Frank's Video for the 2010 Bike the Coast - Taste the Coast

Frank’s Winning Video: He opted for free registration to the San Diego Century Bicycle Tour on May 21, 2011.

Frank rode in the inaugural Bike the Coast - Taste the Coast, captured some great video (you’ll love the sound track), and opted for free entry to the 2011 San Diego Century. He did say that Santa is bringing him a new helmet-cam, so we’re looking forward to more cycling videos in 2011.

“Helmet-cam video of my Bike The Coast ride on 11/6/10. The roads in San Diego County are in so much better shape than those here in the City of L.A. (that’s a hint, Antonio). Bike lanes almost the whole way, sharrows in Oceanside, and a bazillion other cyclists who weren’t among the 800 in our ride. I counted 16 people asking me what that thing on top of my helmet was. My favorite question on the topic of helmet cams was “Why?” Kinda tough to answer, but I’m not stopping now.” - Frank

Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast 2010, presented by Night&Day Entertainment Guide and produced by Event Media, Inc., partnered with the Oceanside Bicycle Committee, Main Street Oceanside and the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce. These groups, along with the Oceanside Visitors Bureau, brought together the cycling and business communities in Oceanside to promote bicycling and offer a fun festival at the Oceanside Pier with food, drink, music and fun.

About Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast

Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast in 2010 was a choice of 7, 15, 25 or 50-mile bicycle ride starting and finishing with food, fun and music at the Oceanside Pier on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010. The cycling courses include the San Luis Rey Bike Trail and San Diego’s North County beaches of Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach and Del Mar. Proceeds from the ride supported the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition — www.sdcbc.org — a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to making bicycling better in greater San Diego and the Oceanside Parks and Recreation Foundation (OPARC).
