EAT and BROWSE at TASTE THE COAST
If you love to eat good food and browse through a fascinating range of local food, sports and service booths, then TASTE THE COAST Food and Sports Festival at Oceanside Pier is for you. Situated at the FINISH LINE of the Bike The Coast Ride, Taste The Coast offers a range of food booths, sports booths and music all surrounded by the fun of being at the beach and admission to the Taste The Coast is free.
Taste The Coast brings together three of our favorite things: Good Food, the Oceanside Beach and Pier and a party! Throw in the finish of a local bike tour and perfect November weather and you have yourself a pretty nice day. Saturday November 6, 2010 from 9:30am until 2:00pm at the Oceanside Pier.
Food – We have partnered with MainStreet Oceanside, the producer of both the well-loved Farmers’ Market street fairs and the hit of the north coast – the weekly Sunset Market Food Festival and street fair. We know of no better way to get acquainted with how much Oceanside has to offer than to attend one of its street fairs and enjoy the wonderful choice of foods available. Our Taste The Coast is a street food fair, on the beach!
Expo – Lots of things for sample and sale at the booths of the Sports Expo which is the second part of the Taste The Coast. Sprinkled on both sides of the Bike The Coast finish line and among the food booths, expo browsers will find lot of little delights, not to mention live music and a beer garden benefiting local charities.
The Oceanside Beach and Pier – Oceanside’s “peerless” spot – a perfect beach over a mile long; the Strand – a roadway along the beach allowing access throughout and San Diego’s best and most recognizable pier for fishing, food or just feeling like you are floating above the waves, not to mention the acres of parking right next to the beach as well as the adjacent Amtrak and bus stations which makes getting on the Pier or the Strand or the beach just a short walk.
Bike The Coast Bicycle Tour – The Taste The Coast is at the start/finish line of San Diego’s newest bicycle tour – Bike The Coast. Offering four different distances and two different routes (River Bike Trail 7/15 miles, Coastal Beach route 25/50 miles), this is a wonderful way for riders from many different skill levels to enjoy the North County San Diego coast.
Saturday November 6 from 10:00am – 2:00pm – under the Pier!
