John Howard Training Plans: Century Ride, 66 miles, 37 miles
We’re pleased to be able to offer a set of plans in a free PDF file to help you in training to ride a century from legendary coach and cyclist John Howard. From the 100 mile bike ride (or 103 for the San Diego Century) to 37 miles, and 8 weeks to 18 weeks he’s designed a series of workouts that will get you in shape for a century bicycle experience, whether it’s the Gran Fondo Colnago San Diego, the San Diego Century, Tour de Cure San Diego or one of the many cycling century rides in the region. He mixes in hill workouts, power workouts and long rides to unleash your personal best. And for more advice, personalized coaching and bike/body alignment to improve your performance then get in touch with a legend who’s coached the country’s top cyclists.
