Lauryn Moses, Miss Oceanside 2010 and a true novice cyclist, is training for the inaugural Bike the Coast - Taste the Coast event on November 6, 2010. As part of her training, on Saturday, September 4th she finished the Traffic Skills 101 course put on by the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition.

About Miss Oceanside, Lauryn Moses
Lauryn Moses, Miss Oceanside 2010 and a true novice cyclist, will be participating in the inaugural Bike the Coast - Taste the Coast event on November 6, 2010. She will be participating in Bicycle Traffic Skills 101, training and sharing her stories. Moses is training to participate in the 15 mile route of Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast, a family-oriented ride. Lauryn’s mother is a breast cancer survivor and Lauryn and will be riding to benefit The American Cancer Society. Miss Oceanside will be available for the media and will be blogging about her cycling experience in the lead up to November 6, 2010. About Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast
Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast is a choice of 7, 15, 25 or 50-mile bicycle ride starting and finishing with food, fun and music at the Oceanside Pier on Saturday, Nov. 6. The cycling courses include the San Luis Rey Bike Trail and San Diego’s North County beaches of Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach and Del Mar. Proceeds from the ride support the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition — www.sdcbc.org — a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to making bicycling better in greater San Diego and producers of Bike the Bay on Aug. 29.
