Bike the Coast - Taste the Coast presented by Tri-City Medical Center, Nov 1, 2014: 100, 50, 25, 15 & 7 Miles.

Experience gorgeous riding on the Southern California coast with 100, 50 or 25 mile routes on Highway 101.  The routes along the San Luis River bike trail are great for a family ride or a cruiser ride with 7 and 15 mile routes. View the cue sheets, interactive maps and course descriptions to become familiar with the 7, 15, 25, 50 and 100 (2 loops of the 50) mile routes.  View the links for each route to see 2013 cue sheets & GPS files* (See note below)

7 Mile Route

The 7 mile course for Bike the Coast - Taste the Coast starts at the Oceanside Pier and goes out to the San Luis Rey River Bike Path on a course that has very little car traffic (the majority of the course is a bike path with no car traffic).  This is an out and back course with an aid station and turn-around point at Foussat Road (approximately 3.8 miles from the Pier).  View/download the 2013 CUE SHEET 

15 Mile Route

The 15 mile course for Bike the Coast - Taste the Coast starts at the Oceanside Pier and goes out to the San Luis Rey River Bike Path on a course that has very little car traffic (the majority of the course is a bike path with no car traffic).  This is an out and back course with an aid station at Foussat Road (approximately 3.8 miles from the Pier) and an aid station and turn-around at Mance Buchanan, right before College Boulevard (approximately 7.8 miles from the Pier). View/download the 2013 CUE SHEET 

25 Mile Route

The 25 mile course for Bike the Coast - Taste the Coast starts at the Oceanside Pier and goes north to Breakwater Way before beginning a southbound trip to Encinitas.  The route tours the beaches on Highway 101 through Oceanside, Carlsbad and Encinitas.  This is an out and back course with a turn-around and aid station in Encinitas at Moonlight Beach (approximately 13.3 miles from the Pier).  There is also SAG support for all riders at the start/finish near the Oceanside Pier.  The Taste the Coast Festival at the finish line will include a selection of local cuisine, live music, a beer garden and a sports expo. All riders proceeding northboound on Pacific Coast Highway in Encinitas can also easily visit Ride Cyclery for mechanical support & refreshments at:

50 & 100 Mile Route

The 50 mile course for Bike the Coast - Taste the Coast starts at the Oceanside Pier and goes north to Breakwater Way before beginning a southbound trip to Encinitas.  The 100 mile course is two loops of the 50 mile course, well supported, and perfect for your first, or most enjoyable coastal century. The route tours the beaches on Highway 101 through Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach and Del Mar.  This is an out and back course with a turn-around and aid station on Sorrento Valley Road south of Del Mar. (approximately 24.2 miles from the Pier).  There is also SAG support for all riders at the start/finish near the Oceanside Pier.  For 100 mile riders at the end of the first loop there will be an aid station just south of the Oceanside Pier at the Strand and Seagaze.  The Taste the Coast Festival at the finish line will include a selection of local cuisine, live music, a beer garden and a sports expo.
