Crusin’ the Conejo Century on Saturday and a lovely 60 miles scheduled today Pasadena to San Dimas.

My daughter and I rode the 37 mile course yesterday. We’ve been doing this route exclusively for the past two weeks, with yesterday being the first time we didn’t use the cue sheet at all. We’ve been able to shave our overall time a significant amount, and will be ready to roll come the 19th!

Took the Rio Hondo Bike Path with about 13 friends for the first time, then cut over to the San Gabriel River path and headed north, got some much needed hill-climbing practice at the dam, and then finished at the Arcadia fire station, where the firefighters were putting on a pancake breakfast. A most enjoyable 31 miles.

I rode the Tour de Fireat Lake Mead saturday. The 47 mile option would have been challenging enough without the blustery winds! Over 2500 feet in elevation gain was an excellant preperation for the Witches climb on the 19th, I can’t wait!

Rode a quick (for me) 27 mile trip to the Water Tower House in Sunset Beach. Great tailwind going out, but I paid for it coming home. Just a beautiful day to ride!

  6. Dan Geery -

70 miles up the coast to San Clemente Saturday. Sunday two hour sesh on the mtn. bike.

Summerlin to Jean, NV (CA State Line) and back for 68 blissful windy miles. I posted a graphic on the Facebook page.
