Free Training Group Rides & Instant Discount

ALL RIDERS:  Check your emails for Tuesday’s rider instructions (from active.com) and Thursday’s updated cue sheets.  DRESS FOR COLD WEATHER FRI NITE/SAT AM.

FRIDAY (REVISED NOON 11/4)

Noon – 8pm: 7pm Expo open with Packet Pickup and Registration

4pm – 8pm: Beer garden(beer garden cancelled due to weather) and Taste the Coast food vendors open

6pm – 8pm: Rider giveaways, raffles and Friday Night Movie at the Pier, featuring “Hell on Wheels”.  Check the weather for the latest rain forecast and bring blankets and warm clothing for the cool temperatures after dark.Cancelled due to rain.

 

SATURDAY

 

6am:  Packet Pickup open.  Bring extra cash for morning coffee and breakfast items available before the start of the ride.

6:50: 100 mile riders depart (wave starts)

7:30: 50 mile riders depart (wave starts)

8:30: 25 mile riders depart

9:00: 7/15 mile riders depart

 

10:00 – 4:30 Taste the Coast Festival and Expo (open to the public)

  • NEW AT THE BANDSHELL:  GREEN SCREEN PHOTOS for $5 from SuperSportsPhotography.  Capture the 2011 event with a photo in the bandshell on the greenscreen.  Choose one of the fantastic backgrounds of the Oceanside Pier for you or your group!  SuperSportsPhotography will also be getting great shots for all of you on the course!
  • Check out the Beer Garden and the tasty cuisine from the Main Street Oceanside food vendors, all open to the public.
  • We’ll have more rider giveaways and raffles to benefit our non-profits, so get in on more jerseys, Legoland tickets and more.

The Trek Bicycle Superstores supported free group training rides every week leading up to Bike the Coast with the final groups getting together on November 5 for the 100 and 50 mile routes.  Ride with a well-supported group, and prepare for a century or your next long ride with a fantastic group. You can still view the program and join the group for the next training cycle.  All levels of riders are welcome.   MORE INFO>>
