Congratulations to Eric Dill for winning the jersey last Friday with his photos of Mt. Ventoux and Mallorca, with a dose of inspiration brought on from all the ride guides and coaches that help with the San Diego Century training programs. Thanks for sharing, Eric! Eric won a 2012 San Diego Century bike jersey in the 4/27 edition with the judges selecting his entry for the question, “What is your best bike photo from your rides or from any spot on the San Diego Century routes?”

My very best and favorite cycling photo–cresting Mt. Ventoux. I never would have attempted a climb like this before I did the SD Century training with the Trek group and learned I could ride great distances and climb thousands of feet in a single day:

I won’t count this as an entry, but I’ll share a photo of me rocking the 2009 San Diego Century jersey on a climb in Mallorca (trying to beat a tour bus you can’t see to a narrow switchback):

I forgot to add that the instant the first picture above captures is the best moment I’ve had on a bicycle since the training wheels came off.
